Once again, a wonderful meeting for the NPVA held June 20th at the Holiday Inn in Dedham, MA!

Our Spotlight Videographer, a member we periodically highlight at our meetings, was Mike Murray of Summer Wind Wedding Films. Mike briefly discussed the incredible work he does, including wedding same-day edits. - Main Speaker
Next up was Pete Stassa of the Davideo Company who gave us a very informative discussion on how to navigate the world of producing video for non-profit organizations. It can be very rewarding work, but Pete almost never provides this work for free or at reduced costs. He states that contrary to some popular beliefs, most non-profit organizations do have enough in their annual budgets to spend on promotional projects such as the video work he does for them, so he invoices them accordingly. And whenever he does provide any of his work at reduced costs, he clearly states their true value in that invoice and will adjust the amount due after the fact. - Panel Discusion
Finally, Brian Arata hosted a very informative panel discussion to talk about the pros & cons of studio space, whether it be in the home, in a coffee shop, in a retail sace, or even as a remote virtual office.
