Meeting Summary for May 16, 2011
First off we had guest speaker Jim Kelly from WebCastingVideo.com talking about how to live-stream an event. This technology, which is very accessible, literally broadens our audience by allowing others see the live event we are covering as it happens. He explained several options available, including a predefined viewing audience or a pay-per-view model. In fact, he used their technology to live-stream his discussion into our meeting over the internet.
The main discussion was from NPVA Programs Director Brian Arata whose topic was the principles of “The e-Myth Revisited” – a great book which gives a blueprint for growing your business. He described how the book changed the way he ran his business, by pointing out the three main aspects of a business: the Technician, the Manager, and the Entrepreneur. Brian felt very strongly that the content described in this book will revolutionize the way you look at your own business.
